Dear lovely daughter-in-law,
I write lovely because I know you are going to be a great beauty, a Princess and an angel to capture the heart of my son. So bless you for accepting him as your partner, a help meet, a friend, a sister, a lover, a confidante, a spiritual mentor, the mother of his children and above all a wife to him.
I know this was not an easy decision, knowing I have been on the same road many years before now but from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for accepting to go on this journey side by side with him. I am not saying its going to be all rosy like on this day you exchange your vows but yet I assure you it is going to be well.
In this journey of a new life, do not see me as a challenge please, we both have a common interest love the same man but know it my daughter because that is what you are now our love for him and his for us differs. My love for him is the great maternal love which has also been extended to you this day and his for me is same a son’s love for a mum that raised him to be who he is today. His love for you is the unique love of every union of the joining of two hearts that have become one. You are the centre of his world now. I can never take your place and do not want to so rest assured and be confidant knowing you are the queen of this kingdom.
Never look on me as a threat, be happy. This is your time. I have had my time with his dad, even if I did not it was not you who denied me the opportunity and so I can never come between you and him. Work out your good and bad moments with him, I am only here as a support and as a grand ma to help with the kids when they start coming. To spoil you as you deserve.
Once again welcome beautiful Princess and thanks for accepting the son of mine. Can’t wait to spoil you my dear.
