In life where are you now, I over heard a colleague ask someone the other day. I only caught that aspect of the conversation but all day it was on my mind. I saw that one single statement become a bunch of reflection in my mind. A few days later, I happen to come across this same colleague and as we kept talking over the state of our job and family as if on prompt, she told me how she was talking to our manager and she mentioned that she was ok with the job but though she was not where she wants to be.
I could just about feel and understand where she was going, I think I have those thoughts too. We all had this big dreams about what we wanted in life while growing up, our dreams were high. We wanted to conquer the world in our own way, build sky scrapers, head multi-national companies, travel the world but what happened with all those dreams? Did they die off or did we achieve or abandon them?
The answers is one too many, Yes like my colleague said I am not at that point of my dreams yet but I have not abandon it. I may not have achieved it but I am somewhere which in a sense is not much but enough to be reckon with. I am a working process, still in the making. There is no half way with me because I can never be an uncompleted project and so are you, you ,you and you.
Dreamers are never abandon projects they are always a working projects with new ideas added every day for success. It may look as if nothing is working today but so much is going on behind the scenes that would make the movie of your life a best seller.
For a dreamer, the horizon never looks bleak. The is always more to see and that more is always fun filled. Someone asked “how long do we need to move to get to where we dream to be” This is a good question and the answer is as good as long as it takes to get there because to stop moving is more dangerous than moving. In moving you have a focus and you want to get there.
Not moving is giving up, accepting failure. Accepting this is it, no other step but that is not true. I may not be there today but I will surely get there at the end and my dreams will come true, for there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel.
