Just the other day, a friend in a group I belong wrote on the group timeline, how the Nigerian mum would grind hot fresh pepper in the grinding stone and it would splash and get into her eyes, she takes a pinch of salt in her palms and lick with her tongue. Voila! the pepper is gone from her eyes.
Funny and strange hmmm! Yes, one would say so so. It got me thinking of so many other strange remedies like the one above that work effectively and I wonder if many in our society still remember them at all.

For itching right palm, an individual is asked to scratch with money because it is believed that something good is coming- most times it is a gift of money. For whitlow in the finger, the finger is deepen into hot eba for at-least two days and it is gone.
For a squirming baby, the big edible maggot from palm trees is put into water to bath and that is the end of the wiggling and squirming. For itchy eyes, the top eyelid is pulled over the bottom one to stop the itchiness.
