Sometimes the things you over hear in public diners are so funny that they make up for waiting time, there is never a dull moment especially if kids are in such diners.
The other day I went to McDonalds with my son and as we sat down to our meal, there at the next table was a mum and her two kids. A boy of about nine years old and the sister about six years.
This little girl kept on and on about a new boy in her class, how handsome and cute he was. How cool it was that he sits with her and is her friend now. She went on and on, till the mum jokily commented that she must have a crush on the new boy.
The little girl asked the mum what she meant by crush, the mum explained that it was a term for puppy love for someone. Meaning she has puppy love for the new boy in her class.
As the mum tried the explain further, the brother who had been silent the whole time chipped in at that moment, that it wasn’t puppy love but kitty love.
Wow! the mum and every one around started laughing at the loud outburst of the boy. Kitty love indeed, this was a first. Is it a clinging love like the boy went on to explain to their mum that the sister clings to every word or what ever the new boy does like a kitty.
Hmmm! I feel this little guy is so right. sometimes what we feel or the type of relation ship we are into can be described as kitty, we meow, we lick and cling but does it work?
Nope it does not, a more matured approach to relationship works better. What ever form of love affair we are into this new year, let us take stock of it. Leave the puppy love if its not working, kick the kitty love far off and look for a more working relationship.
